WorkPal has teamed up with location-services app, What3Words, to support field service businesses in more accurate and reliable planning for field technicians and could save up to 30 minutes per person, daily.
The new integration with What3Words allows WorkPal’s customers to assign a What3Words address to job bookings, giving more accurate site locations and increasing productivity throughout the day.
The location technology works by dividing the world into 3m squares, giving each three random words that identify a precise location. The What3Words does not aim to replace traditional addresses, but rather adds an extra layer of accuracy to existing site addresses, helping field technicians to find customer sites more quickly.
The integration is said to save technicians up to 30 minutes per day, allowing them to complete more jobs daily. And it is easy to use. Office staff can enter the three-word random combination, which will populate an address related to the assigned job.
What3Words technology works without a phone signal and functions the same as it would when connected to the internet of 4G meaning it can be used by technicians no matter their locations.
WorkPal’s Business Development Director, Ian Megahey says, “The integration of What3Words will enable our customers to work smarter, complete jobs faster and serve customers better. We are always looking for ways to improve and develop the system and this new integration is something that will really benefit our users.
With competition growing in the field service sector, it’s important to stay ahead of the game. Businesses want a solution that helps them work smarter and WorkPal always has this at the forefront of its development.”
