Specialist legionella control and water hygiene/treatment company, Acquiesce, operate a nationwide service to deliver services and support to customers across the UK. Engineers offer a wide range of legionella control services that are designed to keep businesses compliant with current legislation. Operating all over the county meant the business needed to implement software to improve operations and improve how it was communicating with customers.

 

What challenges did you face? 

After a gap analysis report was completed on the business, it was identified that improvements could be made in regards to linking quotes to jobs and through to invoicing.

We found the quality of job reports being sent to customers could be improved, and the process of getting reports from site teams to the back office needed streamlining.

We felt that a job management tool, which automated and linked these processes together, was required. We had previously been recommended WorkPal by another business that is using the system.

 

How has WorkPal benefitted you since you implemented the software to improve operations?

WorkPal has helped streamline our working process, from the initial enquiry stage, through to quotingjob schedulingreporting and invoicing.

This has saved us significant time and money, for example, purchasing triplicate report books. The general look of our reports has vastly improved, as has the time it takes to deliver these to our customers.

Our staff now have their schedule live on their tablets, meaning no more missing emails, as well as being able to plan more effectively.

Engineers/assessors can view future planned work, and prepare for materials, tools, additional labour or job information to complete the job efficiently.

 

How easy was WorkPal to implement into your business?

We found WorkPal easy to implement. After 2 online meetings with WorkPal’s customer service team, who delivered in-depth training for all our users, we then started using the system for trial runs. Our staff found it easy to use.

By the time the system went live, all staff had been trained remotely during the COVID lockdown periods, and we found the transition from traditional methods to using WorkPal seamless and much more effective.

 

Do you think you were given enough training and support with WorkPal?

Yes, 100%. The system is extremely user friendly and we found that 2 online training sessions were enough for us to deliver the training to our staff. The ongoing customer support has been great and recommendations we have made have been mobilised and now are being used frequently by our team.

 

Would you recommend WorkPal to another company?

Yes, we would not hesitate to recommend WorkPal to anyone in the service sector. We wish we had started using it sooner!
