About Select Services.

Founded almost 30 years ago in 1996, Select Services is a Belfast-based business specialising in network solutions and cabling infrastructure. The company are now one of the busiest wireless network design and installation providers in the UK & Ireland.

With a team of over 50 staff, Select Services has grown rapidly over the past 2 years. The business boasts a crew of 20 specialised field engineers, operating all across the country to provide a complete wireless solution from consultation through to design, installation, maintenance and support.

As an approved supplier, Select Services are one of a few businesses able to provide a 25-year manufacturing warranty to customers.  The team are specialists within the health sector, covering all Trusts for the last 25 years.


How were you introduced to WorkPal?

“We were contacted by a member of the WorkPal sales team, Ian, who reached out on Linkedin to introduce himself and WorkPal. We had a demo with Ian in our offices in Belfast and within the hour, we were sold!”


How has WorkPal integrated into your business? 

“Since introducing WorkPal, we have been able to streamline our processes, reduce paperwork and improve how we manage quotes, job scheduling and job sheets. We can now provide quality signatures to our clients for compliance purposes.

“Prior to implementing WorkPal, we would have been unable to operate at our current capacity. It has really helped us to iron out inefficiencies.”


Can you tell us about the implementation of the WorkPal system?

After raising concerns that the team may find it difficult to implement WorkPal due to the monumental change it would bring to both field engineers and office staff, Select Services was introduced to its dedicated Implementation Manager, who helped ensure the success of the switch.

“We were concerned that it would be problematic to get out field teams to change their way of working, but we were surprised at how seamlessly we used the system. The fact that the interface is so user-friendly the team had no issues in using it.”


What are the ongoing support services like for both WorkPal?

“The support is very good. If we ever have a query or require additional licences, the team get back to us really quickly.”


Would you recommend WorkPal as a field service software to other businesses in your industry?

“We would definitely recommend this to others in the industry. If you offer a field service and have multiple teams, then WorkPal is a must!”
