We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Officer to join our busy and growing Finance team to manage the credit control function for the company.
Responsibilities will include:
- Proactively manage the company’s credit control policy, ensuring customers adhere to agreed credit terms.
- Sending invoices and statements to customers.
- Running routine checks via Credit Safe in regards to customer credit ratings before approving credit requests.
- Establishing terms of credit for customers and ensure invoices are paid on time.
- Renegotiating customer payment terms.
- Reconciliation and maintenance of the Debtor’s ledger in several companies across the business.
- Liaising with customers and respond to queries.
- Liaising between company departments.
- Preparing Aged Debt reports for management when required.
- Manage the small claims process for the business, to include preparing and submitting claim files.

- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent team player skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Self-motivated / Positive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written and active listening skills.
- Excellent knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and excellent IT Skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the small claims process.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience of Sage 200 Accounts is preferable
