We are shocked to see the first quarter of 2021 fly by so quickly. Therefore, we thought it was time to look back. This WorkPal Q1 Review covers what has been an incredible quarter for us.

There have been so many highlights despite the full lockdown. We wanted to share some accomplishments and important moments for the team here at WorkPal.

Welcoming New Team Members

We welcomed six new people to WorkPal over the last three months. They joined teams across customer support, implementation, sales, and software development.

Stephen Spence joined our sales team in Glasgow. Additionally, Paul Grant joined as our new Implementation Consultant. Nick Watters came on board as our Customer Success Manager.

Furthermore, Alex Lord, Adam Kane, and Peter McCaughey joined our talented team of software developers. This takes us to a record number within that team!

Welcome Packs and Recruitment

To make every new team member feel welcome, we launched our welcome packs! Every new person joining WorkPal receives a box full of goodies.

Moreover, we are not slowing down when it comes to recruitment. We have roles open across sales and software development. Please get in touch to hear more about our plans.

WorkPal Like Never Before

In January, we were excited to reveal the fresh, updated WorkPal brand. As our 10th anniversary approaches, we felt it was high time to update our look. Consequently, we unveiled both our new logo and website in January with great success.

We worked closely with two of our trusted suppliers, The Pierce Group and Gekko Digital. They worked tirelessly with our marketing team to roll out the new WorkPal Q1 Review branding. The feedback is fantastic. Everyone in WorkPal now wears the logo proudly on their chest!

Company Culture

As part of this process, we re-evaluated our company culture. We ensure the whole WorkPal team works toward the same mission, vision, and values.

Nick Watters has been pivotal in this process. We want everyone at WorkPal to live our core company values. Also, we have a goal to improve communication between teams.

New WorkPal Features Launched

Our software development team, led by Warren Black, had an incredible three months. They assisted with onboarding new clients and designing new features.

Contactless Signatures

These new features included Contactless Signature Capture. We designed this to help keep our customers safe. It reduces the risk of spreading the virus. Furthermore, it provides an easy-to-use solution for our customers!

Self-Managed Preferences

We also started rolling out ‘Self-Managed Preferences’. This feature enables customers to configure their own platform themselves. You can create unique workflows and choose features that best suit you. This feature is a complete game-changer for WorkPal.

Integrations and VAT

We launched a brand new integration with Sage One. A vast number of clients utilize this already.

To top it off, we launched the ability to manage multiple VAT rates. This includes reverse VAT. All customers received this greatly.

Our roadmap for WorkPal is exciting. With our growing team of developers, the sky is the limit!

Winning New Business

This was another record-breaking quarter. We welcomed over 50 companies to WorkPal, which is absolutely astounding! To compare, in 2015 we welcomed one-third of that figure in the whole year.

The quality of companies is higher than ever. Some exciting companies adopted WorkPal. These include Electro Automation, Momentum Support, BLK BOX Fitness, Spectrum Engineering, and Evolution Healthcare.

Our performance this quarter is a testament to the hard work of the team. The teamwork across sales, marketing, support, and development has been outstanding.

WorkPal Customer Success

This quarter, we set our new Customer Success plan in motion. This ensures every WorkPal customer has effective onboarding.

Nick Watters and Paul Grant were pivotal in setting this up. Now, Quarterly Business Reviews take place with every single customer.

This is a session to review how each customer utilizes WorkPal. We offer training and best practice advice. We want you to squeeze every last drop of benefit from the platform.

Implementation Project Plan

We would like to give a big shout-out to Paul Grant on his Implementation Project Plan rollout. He worked hard to design the best possible structure for every new client.

With Paul’s plan, implementations are much more structured. This sets new customers up in the most efficient way. Ultimately, this leads to happier customers.

Conclusion of our WorkPal Q1 Review

These are exciting times here at WorkPal. We will ensure to share a review each quarter to update everyone on our progress. Thank you to all our suppliers, customers, and each WorkPal team member.
