The WorkPal Team is proud to announce a major challenge. We will trek the Mourne’s three highest peaks. Specifically, we are organising this Action Cancer charity trek to raise money for the Action Man campaign.

Our team of seven is currently training hard. We are raising money and awareness for Men’s Health Week. This event runs from the 14th to the 21st of June.

The Challenge: Conquering the Mournes

The trek takes place on Friday, 18th June. We begin our journey in Newcastle, Co. Down.

The route is not for the faint-hearted. First, we tackle Slieve Donard, the highest peak in Northern Ireland. Next, we move on to Slieve Commedagh. Finally, we finish with Slieve Bearnagh.

Covering these three peaks in one day requires stamina and teamwork. However, the team is ready to push their limits for this vital cause.

Why We Support Action Cancer

In Northern Ireland, doctors diagnose 13 men a day with cancer. Therefore, raising awareness is crucial. Action Cancer is a charity dedicated to saving lives. They support people through cancer awareness, prevention, and detection. Furthermore, the charity offers free health checks to all genders throughout the Northern Irish community. This helps with early detection and successful treatment.

Where Your Donation Goes

We ask for your support through donations, big and small. Every penny from this Action Cancer charity trek goes directly to the charity.

The money raised funds essential services. For example, it provides:

  • Free health checks for early detection.

  • Counseling services for patients and families.

  • Physical therapy support for those in recovery.
