The WorkPal Team have announced they will be trekking the Mourne’s 3 highest peaks in a bid to raise money for Action Cancer’s Action Man campaign.
Taking on Slieve Donard, Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Bearnagh, the team of 7 will be raising money and awareness for Men’s Health Week which runs from 14th-21st June.
In Northern Ireland, 13 men a day are diagnosed with cancer. Action Cancer is a charity dedicated to saving lives and supporting people through cancer awareness, prevention, dedication and support. The charity offers free health checks to all genders throughout the Northern Irish community, helping with early dedication and successful treatment.
The trek will take place on Friday 18th June beginning in Newcastle, Co. Down. The team have asked for support through donations, big and small, which will go directly to Action Cancer.
The money raised will go towards providing free health checks, counselling services and physical therapy support.
