Mitchell & Mayle Make the Move to Paperless

Tell us a bit about Mitchell & Mayle.

Established in 1987, drainage specialists Mitchell & Mayle operate around the Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk areas. The business work on external drainage-related issues including emptying septic tanks, unblocking, and renewing drains as well as the installation of treatment plants.

 

How were you introduced to WorkPal? What prompted you to make the switch to WorkPal?

The highly accredited company was originally introduced to WorkPal back in 2021 when it was operating via spreadsheets and paper-based systems. “We wanted to move into the modern world. We looked for a suitable field service management solution for over a year before finding WorkPal.”

WorkPal offered an informative, bespoke demo to the team at Mitchell & Mayle. “We knew from this point that the system was exactly what we had been looking for, which, summed up, is simplicity.”

 

How has WorkPal integrated into your business?

WorkPal’s dedicated implementation team worked directly with WorkPal users at Mitchell & Mayle to educate them on the functionality of the system.

“The team at WorkPal suggested we nominate a WorkPal Champion from the company who would be trained on all aspects. They then delivered this information back to the wider team. We found this process worked really well.”

Making the move to WorkPal made operations much more environmentally friendly with its paperless processes. WorkPal’s scheduling feature gives the ability to see future planned jobs and schedule repeat work at various increments. Mitchell & Mayle had previously been using a diary to set out recurring jobs.

“The engineers were very excited about a change. They all had a brief one on one training session with their newly issued tablets and a guide on how to use the software. They all adopted the system very well.”

 

Can you tell us about the implementation of the WorkPal system? How well did the team solve any queries and how useful did you find the training?

“If we had any questions, we would email them over to the support team at WorkPal and would get a response very quickly answering everything in full. This is still the case today and we have been using the system for just under 2 years.

“We can not fault the team; they are always so helpful and friendly as well as being really quick to respond.”

“We would 100% recommend WorkPal to others within the industry. It saves us time, is efficient, great for future planning as well as better for the environment.”
